Junior Cycling Academy
A stronger pathway for ambitious junior cyclists.
The Junior Cycling Academy provides a pathway for national championship podium-aspirational junior cyclists from any club or coach affiliation. It complements existing club and private coaching systems, giving young riders access to structured testing, training, education and athlete development support.
Institute-level development for junior riders.
Junior athletes can enter a pathway that exposes them to institute-level training services and practices designed to prepare them for state and national championship competition.
- Indoor testing.
- Indoor power-based training.
- Strength and conditioning for endurance and power.
- Performance workshops covering nutrition, sports psychology, tactics and more.
- Support from tertiary-trained experts in their fields.
The program sits around the athlete, not over the top of them.
Testing.
Objective testing helps athletes, parents and coaches better understand development, readiness and progression.
Training.
Structured power-based ergo sessions give junior riders a controlled environment to build repeatable capacity.
Education.
Workshops and athlete support help young riders develop better habits, decision-making and preparation.
Assess. Train. Strengthen. Learn. Progress.
The JCA supports the athlete’s existing club or coaching environment while adding clearer performance input, better education and a stronger bridge toward championship racing.
