Lucie Fityus Signs with Team Picnic PostNL for 2026 & ’27

The Cycling Development Foundation (CDF) proudly congratulates former rider Lucie Fityus on signing her first WorldTour contract with Team Picnic PostNL for the 2026 and 2027 seasons.

Lucie’s journey with CDF began in 2020, when she joined the program as a young rider balancing a demanding engineering degree with her cycling ambitions. Over four years with CDF and its high-performance provider Exercise Institute, Lucie built her career from the ground up — learning to train with structure, develop confidence in her process, and master the art of racing at the national and international level.

Reflecting on her signing, Lucie said:

“Signing my first world tour contract is a massive step for me, but CDF was honestly where it all started. I spent four years there learning how to race properly, how to train with structure, and how to find confidence in my own process. I wasn’t someone who came in winning straight away – it was all just step-by-step progression, and CDF really backed me through that.

I’ve kept working with Exercise Institute since day one, and they’ve been a massive part of my development the whole way through. Their support has helped me keep building over the years, and I’m still learning and improving with them now.

I’m super grateful for the foundation CDF gave me – not just the racing, but the people and the environment that kept me moving forward. I still feel really supported by the CDF crew, and one of my favourite things each year is coming back to Perth and jumping in on whatever Brad’s got going on.”

“Lucie’s journey has been one of quiet determination and steady progress,” said Brad Hall, CDF Performance Director and Head Coach at Exercise Institute. “She’s balanced the demands of an engineering degree with the relentless pursuit of improvement in one of the hardest sports in the world – and never once lost sight of the long game.

Lucie’s commitment, resilience, and trust in our shared process have been evident since her early days with CDF in 2020. To see her now step into the WorldTour with Picnic PostNL is incredibly rewarding. It’s a testament to her discipline, the support of her family, and the years of consistent work she’s put in behind the scenes. I’ve genuinely enjoyed working with her through every stage of her progression, and I’m confident she’ll thrive in this next chapter.”

Lucie’s achievement marks another major milestone for CDF’s development pathway – a program that continues to produce WorldTour-level athletes through a blend of education, structured coaching, and a strong community culture.

The CDF extends its thanks to our sponsors, partners, and supporters who make these opportunities possible. Your continued investment in grassroots and high-performance cycling helps create pathways like Lucie’s – from an early-stage development rider to WorldTour professional.

Congratulations, Lucie – we’re immensely proud to see you take this next step and represent the CDF and Exercise Institute community on the world stage.
