Creating opportunity through cycling.
CDF uses cycling to strengthen health, confidence, connection and opportunity in Western Australian communities, with the Laverton Cycling Project at the centre of our ongoing community work.
Cycling is not the outcome. It is the vehicle.
CDF’s community programs use bikes to create practical, place-based opportunities for participation, learning and connection. Through consistent delivery and local partnerships, cycling becomes a platform for building confidence, healthier routines, useful skills and stronger relationships.
The Laverton Cycling Project
The Laverton Cycling Project is CDF’s primary long-term community initiative. Delivered alongside local partners, schools, families and community organisations, the project supports young people and families in Laverton and surrounding remote communities.
- Regular, place-based cycling activities and participation.
- Bike skills, maintenance, road safety and practical education.
- Health, confidence, connection and future opportunity.
Local participation connected to wider impact.
CDF’s community work aligns with United Nations Sustainable Development Goals connected to health, education, inclusion and sustainable communities.
