HORIZON POWER PARTNERS WITH THE LAVERTON CYCLING PROJECT

The Cycling Development Foundation and Horizon Power are proud to announce their new partnership.

Priscilla Davies, Retail and Community Manager for the Goldfields Esperance region commented:

“The Laverton Cycling Project is about building social connections while improving the skills and health of all participants, this sits perfectly with Horizon Power’s commitment to growing regional WA by helping to build vibrant communities and supporting great initiatives. We are excited about supporting a project that reaches out to community members of all ages, offering opportunities to learn bike maintenance skills and facilitating individual and group exercise programs that encourage a more active and healthier lifestyle.”

CDF Chairperson Mary Tennant commented:

“It is with enormous pleasure that The Cycling Development Foundation and the Laverton Cycling Project announce a partnership with Horizon Power. As a provider of electricity to Regional and Remote Western Australia, Horizon Power are invested in building strong healthy communities and we are delighted to have been given this partnership opportunity to grow and sustain the cycling program we are delivering in Laverton.”

Horizon Power seek to support projects that benefit communities across regional WA. As a remote community Laverton has limited access to services or programs that build capacity and social connection in the community in an interactive and enjoyable way. This is seen as a project that aligns with their strategic objective to support fantastic local organisations that look to create value and strength in their community.

We look forward to delivering our next school holiday program with the assistance from Horizon Power.
