Laverton Cycling Project Update November 2024!
The November Update from the Laverton Cycling Project – Courtesy of Sabine Bird!
“It was HOT! Nevertheless, we had a record number of children in Mulga Queen and Cosmo Newbery.
Seeing their excited faces, and being welcomed with hugs and cheerful screams, is always a heartwarming treat for us.
While we managed to get some race-practice in with the Mulga-kids, we were focusing on braking, and navigating through a tight obstacle course with the Cosmo-kids. On each of those days we didn’t just see plenty of smiles, confidence boosts and sheer joy, but even found some truly gifted young ones! We will keep an eye on those in the years to come!
Back in Laverton, we saw our usual youth-group defying the heat with great enthusiasm after school! We are proud and happy to continue to provide them with a bit of fun but also some learnings alongside.
We have now concluded another year working alongside the School of Laverton, our next trip will see us work solely with the youth centre before the holidays begin.
An exciting, novel and huge year for us!”
