Members of the Cycling Development Foundation (CDF) recently hosted an event for Perth based female cyclists alongside Perth based cycling store Giant Cycles Cannington

Liv Cycling is a women’s only cycling brand, that aims to increase participation rates on bikes and to do so with functional women’s specific bicycles, clothing and accessories.

Each quarter the CDF hosts a women’s specific event that is part of a national event day roll out.

Attendee’s learned stretching and strengthening exercises to benefit cycling performance and enjoyment courtesy of the CDF service provider Exercise Institute

Following these exercises attendee’s held an informal chat about women’s cycling with prominent Liv Cycling ambassadors and Perth female cyclists that explored road blocks to women’s cycling. Issues raised included:
– Safety on roads
– Accessing resources for women, specifically women’s orientated bike rides and events
– A central knowledge base for women to refer to around all things cycling
– Improving confidence and skills on the road in welcoming environments

From the feedback provided we will aim to provide more resources and updates for women through our social media channel Women Cycling Perth
