The Laverton Cycling Project’s July update reflects on 50 years of the NAIDOC movement and a full week of cycling, cultural, creative and community activities across Laverton.
The June update for the Laverton Cycling Project highlights a new workplace fitness initiative with Regis Resources, the continuation of its vibrant youth after-school bike program, and key stakeholder meetings aimed at expanding community trails and cultural engagement. Program coordinator Sabine Bird outlines how these growing partnerships reinforce the Cycling Development Foundation’s long-term commitment to health and connectivity in the Goldfields region.
The Laverton Cycling Project launched its first Health & Wellbeing Seminar in May, focusing on menopause education and marking a shift towards broader community health initiatives, according to the Cycling Development Foundation. Alongside this, the program continued its youth activities, supporting 45 kids across the region with cycling sessions.
