About Liv Ride Perth
Liv Ride Perth is WA’s biggest women’s only social ride. It is a social or “no drop” ride that caters to women of all abilities. This means the ride is conducted at a steady pace and will ensure no rider is left behind. The ride finishes with coffee at a local cafe. The aim of the ride is to promote cycling as a sport, recreation and physical activity for women and to provide an environment where women can come and try riding in a group format and meet women of similar abilities and interests.
History of Liv Ride Perth
Liv Ride Perth has been coordinated by the Nicheliving women’s program since January 2015. The ride has been delivered monthly on the first Sunday of every month from the meeting place in Applecross. Four groups of varying distance and speeds were on offer. Each group was coordinated by members of the Nicheliving Vault Racing Team, accredited coaches from Hall Cycle Training and appointed “Liv Ambassadors”. Upwards of 60 women attended each ride.
