Supporting The Butterfly Foundation

About the ride

This year our ride will raise funds and awareness for The Butterfly Foundation, a national organisation that provides support services for people suffering from eating disorders and body image issues. The ride is for men and women.

Why the ‘Butterfly’ ride?

Many of our men and women join our training to improve their fitness, self esteem, confidence and build social support networks. We believe that exercise plays an integral part of a healthy mind and a healthy body. To put back into services that support individuals not fortunate enough to confront these issues is one of our goals for 2016.

Event Details

  • The ride will start and finish at John Oldham Reserve, Mounts Bay Road, Perth
  • The ride is supported with a lead vehicle, sag wagon, accredited coaches, qualified first aiders, Liv Ambassadors and leaders
  • The ride is open to men and women, registrations capped and organised according to ability and fitness (registration includes questions about your experience and fitness to assist in our planning)
  • Training options available from the Exercise Institute are included in a registration package
  • The roads are not closed, this is an open and public event and all safety and road rules apply
  • There is currently an option for experienced riders to opt out of the support envelope and ride at their own speed in front of the main group
  • All riders are welcome and the ride will cater to different abilities but road bikes will be required
